We need to completely remove adoptive throttle control. It's lame.

Awesome thread... "How to hack your BMW". lol
My theory is, (assuming this works) people who bought their BMW new have been driving it more or less the same since day one and the trans. got used to it, so when you "reset" the trans. it's obviously not going to make a huge difference. But people who bought used (like me) most likely drive different than the last owner so it's still trying to adjust, maybe? Also, is this going to void warranties or piss off your technician? (please forgive my insolence if it was a stupid question)

This is THROTTLE ADAPTATION RESET for AT... you don't have to press the gas for 25 seconds...only 5 seconds... but you have to wait 2 minutes before starting the engine

In another thread on the general e9x forum, this same procedure is claimed to reset the "adaptive throttle" settings...
I think somebody is confused! |

For those of who with no results, try this?:
1) hit start button once to turn on power (Don't start the engine) 2) then press the accelerator down to the floor for 5 sec 3) then hit start button once to turn off power 4) then remove foot from accelerator 5) then wait for 2 minutes 4) then start the engine like normal and try it out! (This was from F10 board) |
