10% reduction 'short shifter' option?

Has anyone found a replacement shift lever that reduces the throw only a small amount, i.e. 10-15%? I would also like to keep the shift knob at the same height as stock. My hope is for an OEM+ modification by using the shift lever from a different model of BMW.

I believe the OEM BMW Performance shifter would fit your needs. I installed one in my 328i and the shifter is still at factory height. Great feel, just the right about of notchiness. I believe the same one can be used in the 335i.

The 330i performance shifter is noticeably shorter.

That sounds perfect! Do you happen to have the part number for the kit?

The part number is #25117542200. Make sure to get the ball cup and an extra Circlip.

This works best with a ZHP or M-Sport shift knob since they are weighted.

I bought the ZHP shift knob and the shift travel is much shorter than the stock silver knob. I was unable to find a 5.4oz weighted shift knob without the M-badge. M logo is an eyesore on a m-sport 330xi, but the feel is incredibly nice. Best $90 spent. BMW doesn't offer many options for e90s. There are a couple of china products, but the heaviest one I was able to find was 4oz with unknown quality.
