P0171, P0174 Different Shops Different Answers

Thank you guys in advice for the help.

Just purchased a 07 328i about 3 months ago. 2 weeks ago starting smelling a burning smell from engine had it checked out and was informed the valve cover gasket is leaking, ok can fix that.

2 days later check engine light popped throwing the above codes.
Advance said Ignition coil and sparks (thought might be to easy to be true). BWM shop said vent valve sensor inside valve cover, so id have to get a whole new valve cover since he says they are built in and can't just replace them.
2nd BWM shop says it could just be the valve cover gasket.

The car is putting out more exhaust fumes then I think it should. Idle is 500-550 (cold florida weather). Seems to not have the correct power and shifts early (auto) I think.

I've worked on Hondas for years and new to BWM is this something do-able or what?!
