387F code help..

Since I installed my jb4 Bluetooth I have been getting a 387f code and it constantly says increase battery output. However even if the car sits for weeks it always turns right on and doesn’t seem to have any battery issues. Anyone had anything like this happen?

It’s run per the instructions under the big fuse..pretty sure that is only when the ignition is on.

i had my mhd wireless adapter left plugged in and got that code as well. Something is drawing more current than it should while the car is off.

I changed the power to the jb4 Bluetooth and it went away.

i recently got my car back from the shop and started getting the 387F code. My battery was changed last year and this is the first time the code is popping up. Ive had a jb4 with bluetooth installed for years now without this code popping up, until now. How did you change the power to the jb4 bluetooth?

I will plug in a battery tender tomorrow to see how the battery life is.

any input is greatly appreciated! thanks!

hi don't think its the battery. It's the idle current draw that's making your car to throw the code.

I used the same power source as the jb4 it’s self for the Bluetooth and used a positap for the big fuse. Been 2 weeks now and code isn’t coming back! Basically from what I have read it’s drawing current somewhere while the car is turned off. What did the shop work on?

Hi All, thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it.

Xdrive35i2014 - You are correct, the battery seems to be fine when I plugged the tender to it.

kanovic - I got into a small fender bender and had to replace my headlights. As for the JB4 power, i currently have the Bluetooth posi-tapped to the red wire as per BMS instruction on their site (picture attached) Did you just plug the blutooth power directly to the 50amp fuse?

I had the same wire tapped for the Bluetooth and it gave me that code, so I tapped the wire that sits under the big fuse that powers the jb4 and it went away.
If that makes sense

Why does JB4 require power all the time?

Seems like it could go to an ignition wire, no?

I don’t think it requires it. It’s just easy to use the power source under the big fuse.

Hi Guys?, I have the same problem after two days of inactivity, the car starts up hardly, the rpms drops, rumbles, sometimes stalls, until I push accelerator, this error 387F also appeared as soon as it warms up, everything is normalized.
the JB4 is installed about 8 years ago according to the instructions from the burger motor website, so if I understand correctly, do I need to reconnect the power red cable from jb4 which is connected now to 50amp fuse power and connect it to jb4 bluetooth red cable? which in turn is powered by ACC?

I tapped the Bluetooth power suppose to the same power supply that actually supplied the jb4 it’s self. If that makes sense and mine went away. But I never had issues with rpm drop or hardly starting up etc
