Replacing coil spring guide for Xdrive

Hey there my wife broke the drivers side coil spring on her 2011 328i Xdrive the other day. I ordered a replacement spring and have the car jacked up. Does anyone have a step by step guide for getting the strut out. I think I'm going to take it to a shop and have the spring replaced. I seem to have found various vids or guides but a lot have slightly different ways. Has anyone had success at doing this?

I looked at this https://www.rmeuropean.com/bmw-e90-s...placement.aspx but am wary of this "Don't let the axle shaft tripod bearing tear the axle boot and fall out of the housing. Support the steering knuckle with a jack if you feel like it is putting too much stress on the axle shaft."

If you PM me your email address, I'll send you my procedure doc.

What type of spring compressor are you using?
