Can anyone comment on ethanol blend fuel consumption ie E30 or E40?

I know it is generally worse than regular petrol but by how much?

2009 DCT here. used to have a manual and was averaging 9-11l per 100km. In the DCT im getting 15-17l. can anyone point out any major causes for this? ie spark plugs, o2 sensor etc???

depends on whether I'm taking longer trips or my usual shorter ones. With the shorter ones, even if I feather-foot on the throttle, I get around 13L/100km.

From memory i think I get around 440km per tank?

But on longer routes, esp highway, it gets to around 8L/100km

I guess coz shorter routes have relatively more acceleration events for the distance, compared to long. Also, the engine runs richer until warmed up.

Unmodified engine. BP 98

cheers

15.6 l/100 driving like an old man with one hard hit a day all in stop start traffic. 22 l/100 when i first got my jb4 and had a heavy right foot. I think my tune may be out. What settings are you running on menu 10, 11 and 12?

Got good consumption on the open road. 11l/100 at 110kph. Went up to 12 with the roof down. My consumption is usually very high from stop start traffic and idling to keep the car cool at daily school pick ups. Not enough kms to offset idle time.

I also changed the pedal mapping to be less aggressive during initial movement - it was easier than reprogramming my brain

lol... can't beat the diesel!

In my 320d I'm averaging between 5.8 and 6.4L/100km all urban. Get around 950km from a tank. Highway I get 4.6 - 4.8L/100km.

My e30 3.5L gets between 14 - 17L/100km urban, and 9L/100km highway! So given the performance and weight difference vs an e9x, the N54 does pretty well really! We won't talk about maintenance costs though except to say the M30B35 has just hit 400,000km will little asides from basic service
