stop breaking up the SCR

do your self a favor and just make the hole bigger. it took 10 seconds more to increase the hole size and took all of 2 seconds to remove it from the pipe...

look in the background and you can see how much i cut.

Well played, sir. Very elegant.

Is the catalyst actually two separate blocks as pictured, or is that a result of you cutting it in two?

its the SCR inside your exhaust. when deleting your car you need to gut this from your exhaust.

I always see people posting pics of them gutting by making a small hole, then breaking it up to remove it. I don't understand why people do this when you can make the hole bigger and just remove it in "one" piece, it is so much faster and safer. I have gutted two DPF's and breaking up that is not fun.. the DPF is a little harder to get it in one piece.. maybe if I have a third to do I make a more calculated cut and try to get it all at once...

Stoner, can you show pictures of the front face where the incoming exhaust flow was hitting. Curious of how fouled the face is. Did you run with the DPF gone any for sooting "opportunity" of the SCR catalyst?

I think the reason folks don't cut is because they cannot weld it back up.
You are understating it when you say the breakup method is harder. It is a damn lot of work.

BB
the SCR was gutted at the same time i was doing my delete, so the other side looks exactly the same.

DW
It has to get welded if it gets cut or is there some other method I'm missing? flex-seal??
