post-dp install: wastegate rattly and turbo spool

just wanted to get some opinions/experiences. i just installed my dps and now the wastegates seem to be alot more rattly and the turbo spool is MUCH more pronounced... much more than i expected

any ideas? i thought i was pretty careful and got everything tight, 3hr drive and no codes

How much more so? I could see the turbo spool being more pronouced but more wastegate rattling? Were the wastegates rattling before?

it used to rattle when it was cold. i havent spent enough time to pin down exactly how it is now but it was definitely rattly after my roadtrip when i parked and gave the throttle a quick rev up to 2500rpm

however i did find this..

Enjoy!
so what up with the rattling? if it starts doing damage will i get a code or something? i assume my procede will warn me if my turbos are overspooling or something

By chance, do you have any piggyback or a flash to your ecu? Most likely its the maps to your device.

The rattling appears to be mostly an annoyance. If too much duty cycle is called for, the PROcede will put you in Valet mode.

But that said, if they were rattling before, yes, they will be more pronouced with DPs.

I may be traveling through Jackson, MS (to McComb, MS and Kentwood, LA) here soon and could possibly take a look if needed.

It should be a week from Monday (10th) when I hit the road. Will probably be coming into Jackson (I-20 to I-55) around 2 - 3 PM Central so lunch will not be needed. But can certainly plan something. It is a travel day so I have no commitments on time.

Drop me a PM late next week and we can coordinate.
