Anyone race a new Carrera S?

I repeatedly got my ass handed to me by my friends 2009 carrera S..I was sure I would beat him badly..but even on jb3 map7 and all bolt ons I couldnt keep up. Once we hit 4th gear he was gone..I am still getting a REALLY bad lag going into 4th gear, which definitely didnt help

Lets put it this way, the NEW porsche line is very fast. Even the new caymen S goes 0-60 in like 4.2 seconds. Trust me, if you dont have every bolt on available with high octane the only porsche your ganna beat is the Boxter lmao.

Unless you get bigger turbos than, the at 4th gear situation will be a walk in the park for you...

I got raped by a 997 GT3 the other day while running on my pump gas map. I couldn't believe how quick it was. Don't have much of a problem with Carrera Ss though. Pretty equivalent to a full Stg 3 car running pump gas. Both trap around 117mph. For a dead stop though, those cars are amazing. Great traction.

It must've been a PDK. I raced a 6MT from a dig and pulled a length or two to 100

I hear the PDK's are just absolutely ridiculous though

Yep, i've raced the new 997 Carrera Ss before. Its only the Turbos and the GT3s that pull my stg 3 car. Running race gas though, the only stock P car that pulls harder is the Carrera GT But you don't see many of those around.

Its the PDK which kills the 335i.

really a carrera s only has 355 at the crank probably 320 whp (more efficient due to engine being near the wheels) if you have 375 to be conservative you cant beat him?

I dunno about a Carrera but a Cayman S PDK is no joke.

3000lbs, 7 speed, and don't forget these 3.4 Liter Porsches are underrated, i believe they dyno around 290RWHP.
