2012 xdrive wagon
I will apologise in advance for this question BUT will a set of style 640's w/tire size of 255/40/18, on all four corners, fit without rubbing and not cause xdrive issues ?

You can go staggered as long as the front and rear circumferences are with 1% of each other. My summer wheels are staggered 19s but my winters are a square 245 18s

*Edited to clarify tire size
]I have xdrive E91 LCI (stock suspension for now) with 640m and 245/35/18 x4. No hint of rubbing and seems like a good bit of room around all 4. Not reason to think 255/35 wouldn't work. Once I get my coilovers on I'll likely get 255/35s as long as there's still room. Note that the wider, heavier fronts make the steering feel less nimble. Just put my winter 17s on and noticed the difference right away. Last edited by Cyril Sneer; 12-01-2021 at 08:30 AM.. Reason: Clarified sizes |

I cannot 100% attest to this, as I should have tried it out. However, I took a picture for giggles before I sold a 640M set with Michelin Winter tires (255/40/18) all around.
