Fuel Injector energy and flow calibration numbers?
I recently went to BMW because my car has multiple cylinder misfires and is emitting a ton of white smoke through the exhaust. When driving the car it stinks of fuel to the point where I get a headache.
BMW diagnosed it as a fuel injector problem and that I would have to change all 6, or both banks. I checked the injectors myself and it seems as I have index 04 on my injectors, the car is a 2009 335i. To change the injectors physically is obviously not an issue but to calibrate it is the hard part. My question is, with the part number being 13537585261, I noticed that all the cylinders have different calibration numbers. When ordering new ones, index 11 or higher, should the car contain the same energy and flow numbers as the other ones or completely random numbers? Here is a picture for anyone that knows what I am referring to: http://i40.tinypic.com/2n24w3m.png |

definitely need to code the new values. this is true regardless of what the new index is. it's pretty easy to DIY if you search for "injector coding DIY" and are a little computer savvy.
