Unhappy Fixing the alpine stupidity on 325i

This is my first post on the forum so I want to say a BIG hi to you all!

I recently got a 2006 325i the one without the i-Drive, only the "Proffesional" cd player.
I just love the car and the fact that it reads mp3 is a big plus for me because i listen only to loooong livesets. And exactly here is my problem, has anyone managed to fix, maybe to code the stupidity that the player forgets the track position after like half an hour. I mean what is the point of something like that!?
Is there a way to take this out, you can buy cd-players for 40euros that remembers track position even after a week.
And offcourse fixing that the track time is displayed.
Maybe some of you have some info which could help.
Thank you and sorry for my english.
