Indeed I've done it before as that white 12pin connector is where i tapped in the video signal for reverse cam.

Ok so sadly the tv saga is not quite over for me!
As I mentioned before I had CAS waking up issue on locked car after CIC Retrofit which was sorted when I totally disconnected tv unit.
Note that it is a factory tv unit which came with factory ccc.

I was hoping repining tv and getting it up and running would sort the cas wake up issue but not the case.
Today I tried to narrow down the issue and when I disconnect the TV MOST connector then CAS would sleep. So the tv power and wires to cic are still connected.

I have ran the MOST RING Config in Protool (same feature from ISTA) few times and no change.

No codes at all to trace this issue.

If anyone has MOST knowledge please help.
Happy to setup ISTA if needed but currently using Protool app.

I would say that the TV module is not going to sleep correctly and this is keeping the CAS active, replace the TV with a like for like or update to the later e/f/g series TV module.

The e60 type (the one in the pics), are pretty plentiful over here (uk) and cheap too, Last one of that type i bought was £25 i think.

Last one of the later type i got was £42 delivered, so the newer type are cheap if you can find them too.

It's weird cause it didn't have an issue with ccc.

Does the any later units have the same connector arrangement to save myself looking for connectors?

hmmm, if it was not there with the ccc then thats strange, as you say that terminating the TV MOST fixes the problem. this would lead you to think that the cic is fine.

Did you default code the cic to the cars VO or just manually code it?

Later units use a different plug, but the MOST part is the same(ish)

Thank you for all the info posted in this thread. Can you please confirm if the bracket 9176373 is for fitting the tv module next to the combox? If not, do you know what the part number of the correct bracket is?

I am fitting TV to a 10/2011 build e92 with factory CIC and combox.

TIA

Hi Kevin, that is the correct TV module bracket to use next to the Combox on our E92’s.

Did you manage to find a diversity antenna for your retrofit?

At a push you can use the OEM diversity DAB antenna and a splitter, the TV and DAB use the same (near as damn it).

I've used this as a short term solution and its works fine, just a though

Thanks for the answer. So it bolts down on the bolts welded to the chassis? Would you have a pic of the orientation as I am fitting the wiring but don't have a TV module yet.

I found OEM e92 rear window antenna unit with plugs for FM, DAB and TV. For the third antenna, I am using the Ampire ANT600.

It bolts down with the plugs facing toward the front.

Peeps,

Long story short, I have reteofited a tv module from F01 or F10

[IMG][/IMG]

So far all plugged in and receives 1 chanel only without option to search chanels at all, no zoom mode either.

I have only connected 1 ampire active antenna at the moment.

Why there is no sound? Why there is no chanel search option?

Is it because of not enough antennas? I have ordered another ampire but it is not due until next week.

I havent check cic settings but it displays 1 chanel so I assume its ok

Can someone sched some light please

Sound comes through the MOST, so mate sure that correct.

Make sure that the tv options are selected inside the cic correctly.

1 antenna should be enough to get you a signal (you can test the strength in the service menu).

It should do the search and the zoom in the next menu (when on tv mode shift the rotary knob right. (nut turn).

The TV from an f and g series will work in the e series

what channel is it?

if the signal is not strong enough, then you can get the picture but not sound as that whats gets dropped when its marginal.

Are you in a city, town or country?

Hello.
Last year I retrofitted RSE (in my F11 though), and now I have ordered a Dvb-t2 module instead of the analogue one. My question regards the fabs cable from the TV module to the rse. Pin 3 and 9 to the TV is signal and pin 1 and 11 on the RSE is signal. But does it matter which one of the signal wires I run to each pin ? My fbas colors are clear (shield) and white and green (signal). But which goes to where ?

if you have it working now then the t2 module is plug and play.

if you are running rear screens then use 3-9, otherwise just use the oem tv out to hu.

I know about pin 3 and 9, but does it matter which signal pin goes to which signal pin?

What is the difference in the 2 signal wires in the fbas cable ?

Ah i see, So they are signal and signal ground.

Use this for F type TV, RSE or T2 module

1: power
12: gnd

2: video +
7: shield
8: video -

All pins are 100% confirmed

cic end

multi plug

2: video +
11: shield
12: video -

cic single plug

18: video +
27: shield
28: video -

remember to use the correct wert for the TV (its either 21 or 23).

But which one is the video + and which one is the video - ( fbas color)?

I have tv from factory, so it is wired to the HU.

And look at my diagram of the pins. I only need to run the fbas from rse dvd to TV module, and for that, the pins I mentioned are the correct ones

It will depend on the FBAS lead as to what colors they are, some are white/yellow and black (shield), some are red, white and black and some are white, yellow and clear.

Forget the color, use the pins, that tells you what pin to plug in to.

In general, Clear/black is the cable shield, white is the - (signal ground) and yellow is the video signal.

As long as it correct at one end make it the same at the other.

Ok, cool.

Ok, so pick a colour of each of the FBAS pins and use them for both sides.

white = -
yellow = +

Good luck

I will, thank you

But when it just says signal in both ends, it is difficult to know which fbas lead is the + and which is the -.

So if I does not work , I will just try to swap the 2 signal pins in the TV module
