Sorry, but 67k isn't really that high for mileage if it was well cared for. And he paid $19,500??!! That's awesome. That's about what I paid for my 2004 ZHP with 32,000 miles about a year ago.

Good job and nice car.

Thanks. Yeah, I had a detailed pre-purchase inspection and the car is in good shape. And you're right, 67k is not bad considering the price tag of 19,250. More $ for mods.

The price is reflected upon the mileage, so yeah someone can't expect more than $20k for a 70k mile, out of warranty, 4 year old 3 series. Nonetheless , i love the car, looks clean and taken care of. Btw, your 04' ZHP is rare and your engine is bulletproof and your miles are very low. I'd say the ZHP is worth every cent if that's what you are into.

I entered the specs of my car at kbb.com

Fair Trade in is $20,225 and this car is in excellent condition. That's a good deal!

Did it have a CPO?

I got my 06 E90 in 08. It had 22k on the clock. My CPO warranty goes to 100k or 2012.

If its covered under the CPO, I only have to pay a 50 dollar "deductible".

$19,500 or $20,225 is the same thing. You get what you pay for , if the mileage doesn't bother you, then yes, it's a good deal for you because you get a 335 for $19.5. Personally when i buy a car mileage is very important to me, i chose a lower mileage 328 coupe than a higher mileage 335 sedan for the same price last year when i was buying my car. My car had 20k and the 335 had 45k.

Im so jealous of your garage. B5 S4 has been my dream car since i was 16. Decided it was too old when i was buying a new car last year. Im on the lookout for 1 now to make it my project baby .

Mercury Warranty. Had them for my XC90, which had TONS of problems. I had a 0-deductible plan, and took it to the dealer everytime. not a single issue, they dealt with the dealers directly. a few days later, I'd just go pick my car up no questions asked. Also used them for a couple of other cars, and couldn't be happier. I don't remember the price

Unfortunately no CPO, but it did come with extended maintenance. I'm shopping for an extended warranty right now. Think I found a pretty good one, with no consumer complaints (Genuine Warranty Solutions out of Arizona). 5 yr / unlimited mileage, $3378, $50 ded, Exclusionary contract.

Something I learned that many folks could benefit from....you will find that many extended warranty csr's will say no company offers exclusionary contracts for cars over 60k (outside manufacturers warranty). Not true, a few companies do it.

Update for those subscribed. More research completed on extended warranties. This is pretty obvious, but always read the fine print. When I read the fine print, red flags are raised. Right now the only reason I'm still considering the extended warranty is because I'm betting on a possible turbo failure within 5 years. Anyways, here are the red flags in the fine print:

1. Reasonable cost to repair is determined by a combination of Alldata and all other national acclaimed repair guidelines. (they don't specify an estimated rate for labor)
2. Holder is responsible for paying a deductible chosen on the application page per repair (per repair seems like they will try to charge multiple deductions per claim)
3. Service may be denied for pre-existing conditions as reasonably determined by the Provider based upon the reasonable reliance of the time and mileage on the vehicle and the results of a claim inspection (not sure how much leverage they have here if i got a PPI)
4. Company may use new, used, rebuilt, or remanufactured parts at company's discretion. We reserve the right to move the vehicle to an alternative repair facility and to use the most economical price available for parts and components (they don't specify what economical is)

google route66 warranties... but they dont sell directly to public. You will have to find a dealer or bank to go thru... they offer upto 100k coverage.
