2012 335iS - New Owner - Pics

Took delivery for my 2012 SG 335iS 6SPD on 4/27/12, the order and delivering process took about 9 weeks to make it to the states and in my posession. Below are some iphone 4 pics as well as a couple from the SLR.

The 2010 V8 R8 belongs to a co-worker that decided to drop by on a nice 85'F day (note: the rims arent really my cup of tea, and the OEM rims would have justified for my tastes). The 2007 RDX is the the daily driver. I had an 08 VW GTI APR Stage 1, which was traded in for the 335iS.

The 335iS is a blast to drive. It was delivered with 8 miles on the odometer, and it roughly has about 80 miles today.

Note: the door was not closed all the way (335is) on some of the pictures.

Beautiful! Welcome to the BMW family (and more specifically the 335is family)

That R8 is amazing also! I had the privilege of parking next to one myself

Nice, looking sick! Welcome to the 335is SG club

Just IMO: Painted reflectors are definitely a must.

Thank you! The "IS" model is definitely unique in its own way. The R8 is a monster. I stood behind the engine/exhaust as it started up and revved. It turned the "IS" Performance Exhaust turn into a Puny Exhaust.

Space Grey Rocks! I love this color! I'll look into painting the reflectors or applying thin film (smoked); however, is there another way of popping these out for clear (or smoked, etc)? I noticed 2 notches behind the plastic inside the fender.

R8 exhaust is sexy, but you can't put down the 335is exhaust. That turbo burble is awesome! And it's pretty loud. Not gonna lie, I got some looks looks from a Ferrari 458 not too long ago.

Space Grey, amongst other types of metallic grey, will always be a favorite. Next in line is Silver, but that looks like everything else on the road.

Your BMW looks great! And I completely agree with you about your friend's R8. Those rims look douchy as hell!

Your car looks great. Your friend in the R8 needs to choose new wheels if you ask me. Congrats on the new car!

Looks great! Congrats on the IS! I am getting a R8 same color (white) and there is a Matte Grey GT here at my dealership, its a beauty! The IS is no slouch though, you'll love it!

Will look into that...just a bolt-on accessory?

I've always been aware of space grey, but I never "picked" one to test drive and taken a closer look. In fact, I ordered the 335is without even test driving one until after my initial deposit! I drove a DCT version for 5 minutes and left the dealership.

The rim and tire setup set him back quite a bit of cash. I would have chosen better. And, of course, he wouldn't change those rims for the sake of others not appealing to them (as long as he enjoys the money spent).

Thanks. Agreed, those rims need to go. He spent too much on the setup that he isn't looking for alternatives at the moment.

Thanks. The R8 is an amazing machine. It's on its own level, compared to the IS.

I haven't pushed the IS yet. I had a quick glimpse of mashing on the pedal at 60 to 100MPH to pass in no-time.

He has nothing but good news to talk about on the R8. I think you will have an awesome experience as an owner and a blast to drive!!!
