quick and easy question: std is manual...auto is option?
thanks for any help....wanted to say this is the best BMW web site i have seen yet. i am trying to price out what i want and dont want on the e90 to see if it stays in my price range or not.
if i am reading the bimmerfest price sheet right, auto is an option, manu. is standard? my wife cannot drive a manu and with a new one on the way, i dont want her to be distracted nor do i want her practicing how to learn on MY car. anyway, thanks again love the site! i am really trying to see what is more cost effective for me, the 325i or 330i. must haves...: xenons sports pkg logic 7 auto  auto seats well, this turned out to be not so short and sweet...oh well |

Automatic transmission is an option that will cost you $1275 msrp / $1210 invoice.
If you are getting xenon, logic 7, & auto seats you are pretty well on the way to paying for the 330. You have to decide if the horsepower, wheels, trim, and brakes are worth the additional $2,600 or so. Part of the economics depends on resale. I think you get a higher return on the investment in a 330 than on a loaded 325. Either way, you get a great car. |

i am trying to decide between this and the , dum dum dum, G35. i get employee pricing on it, soa fully loaded 05, msrp'd at $40,000 for about $34000 before TTL. for what i want on the 3series the MSRP is at around $41,000 and i hope and pray to get $1000 over invoice! i plan on buying end of this year or first of last year |

If you do not need the extra power i would get the 325, saves money and unlike the previous poster stated it holds its value BETTER than the 330i, as is shown by the RESIDUAL VALUES BMW is using!!! Best of luck! (why do you NEED the logic 7, the base system is actually vvery good! and has all the features of logic 7 minus the surround sound)

Hi and welcome Minarets.
Don't stress out about the Steptronic transmission. It is very well matched to the 325i and makes the car very easy to drive in busy city traffic. The car feels very nimble and light on its feet (or should I say runflats). I had manual on my old E46 and the new E90 valvetronic engine with the 6 speed step makes my e90 325 ready, willing and a very able motor car indeed, moreso than my old e46 which at times felt quite heavy.
