do Xi coilovers fit rwd cars?
Hey everyone. I ordered a set of bilstein b14 coilovers for my car and didn't realize till they shipped that they were for xi cars. they appear identical in photos so I was wondering if they still fit.

Yes, they actually do fit.
Ideally you should buy the correct parts for your car, but if for some reason you're dead-set on using these, then they will work. Like me - when I bought a set of KW V3s off a guy that parts out cars who didn't know they were xi specific. Why don't you return them and get the correct parts since you bought them new? Rears: Identical between RWD and XI. Fronts: The overall length between the top of the strut and the point where the strut clamps in the knuckle is slightly shorter on the XI strut. If you're like me and don't want an aggressive drop (i.e. slightly lower than OEM Sport suspension) you will need to wind the spring seat all the way up to the top. You lose the adjustability range because the sleeve on the XI knuckle is in a higher position than the RWD car. You will need adjustable sway bar end links since the xi sway bar bracket is angled forwards. |

What sway bar endlink do you use to be able to run the xi coilover on your rwd car? I’ve got a deal on a used set here in canada but I wanna make sure it will fit before ahaha. Thank you!
