Tickets are not big of a deal??? You do know that if you pay like $120 for tints, next time you get caught it's probably gonna be around $200? 5% tints will get you pulled over a lot.

depends on where you live
5% is going to be hard to see out at night, you can forget looking through the "auto dimming" rear view mirror. I have 15% all around and although you can see in a bit during the day, it's a good combination overall and it won't get you in trouble. then again, most of my previous rides have had limo.... it is hard to see out at night with limo.

dude w/o PDC at night 5% tint is going to be hell to park. I still roll down my passenger window a bit when parallel parking to make sure i dont f#*k up my wheels. It looks amazing though with the windows that dark and a black interior...

It's only really a concern if there are no street lights around, like if you're reversing in a driveway or something similar like that. Honestly, it's really not as bad as some people try to make out, at least in my personal experience

i have 15% tint all the way around. and my car is jet black with black interior. i do not have any problems seeing out of it at nite or during the day. plus it looks better than lighter tint. never had any tickets with it so far. knock on wood. but i like it a lot.

i've had nothing but 5% tints on all my cars... once you get used to it, it's fine... to be honest, i feel weird, almost nekkid, when i get into a car that has light or no tints... i think partly though i got used to it, all my motorcycle helmets have dark smoke visors, which is equivelant to limo tints...
and, i've NEVER gotten a ticket for tints... everything else, but not for tints... *knock on wood* and my last couple of helmets... |

Got 5% on my cobra and I love it. Get compliments everywhere on the car yet I have gotten 2 fix-it tickets. F the Po.
Reversing/Parallel parking can be tricky if there are no street lights but if you opted for PDC that wont matter. (when spring hits im puttin on 50% or 35% because I dont want that much attention)

I have 20% on my Cayenne and it's a little difficult to see out at night (and that's just regular driving & going through intersections with people walking around). In my friend's Tahoe, he has 5% all around and it's pitch black period. At every 4-way stop sign or with people walking around, you need to roll down the windows to see out and make sure you're all clear. Sure you can still parallel park but it takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust and figure out where in perspective you are to the curb.
IMO, when you go too dark like that on a smaller car, it looks tacky. |

I wouldnt get 5% if I were you. It's super dark and like Heat00's said, the auto dimming mirror would be close to useless. I would go with a 15 or 20% tint.
