Anyone try these? Turner Performance Polyurethane Engine Mount Set
Am sure they must add some nhv or vibrations, in the description is set says hardly any lol
$600 for a motor mount? Wtf? That's just blatant price gouging ala Martin Shkrelli with the pharmaceuticals ...and he's in jail now haha

He's in jail because of securities fraud; not because of price gouging.

Yes that's correct but he also bought a company with the exclusive rights to sell a specific drug....he then proceeded to jack up the price of said drug 700% or so.......hence my price gouging reference

So I decided to ask FCP Euro about the engine mount pricing. Here's their direct quote:

"We are no longer able (for now) to get the OE corteco right iS engine mount so we now can only offer the genuine part which is unfortunately quite expensive. Both of those price changes are because of supply chain changes/issues."

So there you have it. I suspect the other parts vendors like ECS are suffering from the same supply chain issue.

Yay no options.

My stocks were toast so I went with 034s. ~$320 for both vs $1350cad each (tax in) for the 335is ones.

I also am installing the 034 mounts. We'll see how it goes.

I assume you bought the engine & trans mount kids from ECS tuning? That's the route I went. I have had them for 2 months. No issues. I know when they first came out, they had some issues, but 034 made some corrections in design. Since then, I have not seen any negative complaints about them. I think people who do, read about the early model and or had them and had a bad experience.

Yea, I bought the 034 engine mounts and UUC black trans mounts. I have a 2009 135i and regardless of km's I'd imagine the mounts are just worn from age. Also putting superpro poly in all the suspension bushings to stiffen it up.

Anyone have any experience with these mounts from Revshift yet?

Not personally but check some of the other forums. Some guys already have them installed. This forum seems to always be a little behind on things.

So just as a recommendation I wouldnt buy the 034 mounts. I ordered mine a few weeks ago and put them in. after 5km (yes no 0's) I went around the block and was having turbo noises (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...4#post23360964) if you want more back story and while disassembly this is what I found.

Video of the bad 129k km drivers mount vs the literally 5km mount...

Honestly thats what I'm thinking. Im love to go OEM+ with the IS mounts but not for the price. Stock just wont do anymore.

Does anyone run the 60 duro ones on a daily driver. Im okay with some vibrations for a sporty car. But I already have a full polyurethane rattle trap massage chair called my track car so Id rather not have 2 of them thats all.

FWIW I haven't ran any of the Poly engine mounts myself, but I'm friends with the owner of a local BMW-specific shop that does a lot of track builds (and re-builds!) of all sorts of BMWs and has serviced a large amount of N54 powered cars and he said that he doesn't think any of the poly mount options for the N54 are worth it.

I know the revshift are pretty new and I don't know for sure if he's installed them but his opinion is that for track-only go solid mounts (with stiff poly being okay for a 1/4 mile dedicated car) and for anything street driven you're better off with the 335is mounts or a stiff rubber option like rogue engineering. Apparently they see a large amount of catastrophic failures with poly on street cars, whether that's due to the high heat levels the N54 produces (which explains the blanket that revshift ships with) or something else I don't know for sure but I'll be steering clear personally.

There is a guy over on spool street who just installed the rev shift mounts, I think the 95D ones too. He was having some issues with the engine height being significantly higher than stock and was looking into it. Haven't heard much about it since but I remember that he did have a cross member over the front of his engine that could have been the cause of such a dramatic change.

I've been looking into getting the rev shifts myself because as everyone's pointed out there aren't many other options that seem to be viable anymore.

He had a strut tower brace and that's how he noticed it. The engine sat much closer to the bottom of the brace than it did before. But it also sounds like it may have just been because the stock ones were worn out. I don't remember exactly.

Yep the 034 ones fail, I couldn't find a product to replace it, so I decided to fix/modify the 034 mount to work. Very happy with the result, stiffer than stock but NVH very good.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=177

Id be wary of poly mounts for a car thats daily driven, or needs to have good street manners.

Looks like the same failure. In the video you can see the bottom cap has popped off half way, which results in the rubber being loose. In my case the bottom cap just popped off entirely, but the failure mode is exactly the same.

Not sure if its that clear in the video but yes the 1 side started to come out on the bottom. But the mount seems to move(drop) and slide around on the side where the bottom has come out so mine may be on the way to yours.

How did those aluminum caps hold up? I wish someone made those or I could weld aluminum. Would be ideal
