Just go on Edmunds Inside Line long-term blog and you'll see the retarded amount of money their GT-R has cost them over the last year and 30000 miles

The problems designers have is the distance between the bonnet and the mechanical parts underneath them. To ensure that the pedestrian does not hit the engine (and so on), there are laws dictating the distance that must be maintained and this would require clumsier bonnets (thus spoiling the lines), these catapults are just ways to get past that.

whats wrong with a GTR? the fact that its made by Nissan or what? its cheaper than an R8 (v8) and costs less? it costs the same as mustang GT500KR and it out performs them, plus most cars that are in that price range???

No, it the fact that it originally came out with advertised specs that can only be achieved by using Launch Control. Using launch control CONVENIENTLY for Nissan, voids your warantee.

Oil changes are loot. And if you ever track the car, you have a mandatory service at the dealer for some exorbitant amount of money, if you don't do it you again void your warranty.

The list goes on. Basically, Nissan doesn't stand behind their product when the shit hits the fan.

That is pretty rediculous. What is the hood popping up suppost to even do for a pedastrian? Looks like a great way to decapitate the driver in a high speed crash.

An M3 is too "normal" a car... To compete with the insane costs of the Nissan

Even a 997 TT doesn't come close..

Not saying its worth it, considering a 458 italia is $240k.. but that is why the car is so expensive. They should of released it with a 12000 rpm V10, that would get peoples attention!
McLaren MP-12C has a CF tub for much less money than the LF-A. Wait till the McLaren and the LF-A are on the track at the same time. Just wait.

It should reduce impulse suffered in collisions because the popped hood increases the distance and time. It's like airbags basically.
