Intake air temp readings?

Hi lads, it’s about 3 degrees here in north east uk on mornings at the moment, I’m having cold start issues with missfire until warm etc. Getting a code for rich running constantly, my MAF is reading 47F first thing before even staring the car according to intake temp and coolant temp 50F surely this is wrong? Cheers

Garage List
1992 Honda Beat  [9.50]
2008 BMW 128i  [10.00]
2014 BMW 528i  [10.00]
This is a complete guess but,

Maybe that's the low end of what the sensors will read? Since at operating temp theyll both be closer to 100°F + (coolant hangs out between 80-110°C)

No sense in worrying about 50°F if the temp will be like 200°F any time the car is actually used.

no, the sensors can definitely read lower temperatures than 50f. That would be a really terrible design. IIRC they typically go down to -40c/f.

I bet your MAF is bad.

I’ll change it see if it helps, surely 47F isn’t right when not even started, the coolant gets up to 200+ which is correct and maf was at 70F sure it’s readbg bad. Will let you know how I get on thank you
