Coded my mirrors to close as soon as I press lock on Keyfob

Tonight I coded to my E93 which enables the side mirrors to fold in the same time the door is locked..Before when I press the lock button on the keyfob the mirrors would not fold in until I held the keyfob for an additonal 2 seconds or so. Now after coding the side mirrors folds in simultaneously with locking of the car. This coding makes it soooo much more efficient then standing there holding the lock button to have mirrors close. I hit the lock button one time and walk away knowing mirrors will fold immediately! For those that have COMFORT ACCESS, this also works too...As soon as you press the ridges on the door handle the doors lock and mirrors fold in within a half second!!!

Requires Nettodat coding using NCSdummies

CAS
KMFRT_SCHLIESSEN

Choose one of the values you want to custom set it to.
new value 00 (instantly)
new value 05 (.5 seconds)
new value 0A (1 second)
Default value 0F (2.5 seconds)

Code it in and your DONE

Coding non-standard values and voltages through nettodat.trc using NCSdummies

Basically coding the nettodat values that pop up during when you read the module, instead of just closing them, you edit them..Nettodat coding basically codes in a value thats not written into the script where you can just edit like aktiv to not Aktiv or wert_01 to wert_02

The values are custom values that are used and not the standard values to the original software would recognize, and you are bascially forcing the module to accept the value through Nettodat coding...I am trying to explain it as simple as possible..

Yes I posted above it also makes comfort access door handle ridges close the mirrors immediately by just touching it! Door closes and also the mirrors at same time. So basically it works for both keyfob and CA.

I used NCSDUMMIES to edit the nettodat.trc file and then write the man.

Wow.

Great find. Would love to do that but Winter climates here in Canada don't work well with folding mirrors

Summer mod ftw :-)
Thanks for sharing

Does what it says, will definitely have it on mine. I like not getting my mirrors knocked in the parking lot.
The only minor issue is that it's not specific to the mirrors but rather activates the CA closing procedure so the windows move a little depending on how fast you are with the button. I tried increasing the time before the windows start closing (KMFRT_SCHL_VORNE) but it had almost no effect except after the doors locked they clicked again almost as if to be unlocking. Did you have the same experience?

I just changed that and it works super fast for mirror closing using both the key fob and ridges. That's all that I wanted to close super fast. The others option to open and close windows there is a delay in which BMW deliberately put into place and I am not going to mess with it as I feel certain things need to activate on its own and not all at the same time to prevent any increase drain on the battery. Be careful with messing around with the other settings.

Then if thats the case code in value 0A and its for 1 seconds instead of instant
or code 05 for half of a second

Great find buddy I just coded my car using nettodat.man and it works flawlessly. Both the fob and ridges are working. For those who are not comfortable with NCSDummy you can just manually update the nettodat.trc by changing the following line 0030020 and change the value 0F to 00. Save as nettodat.man and code it with NCS!
By the way I also noticed when closing or opening the top with the key fob it reacts right away as well.
Gotta love those custom parameters
Thanks again for sharing!

hi moreno1 and all,

can you confirm me the way to proceed with NCSEXPERT (without using ncsdummies):
1 load expert profile...
2 ... read CAS
3 change the value you said (line 0030020...) in NETTODAT.trc (in WORK folder)
4 save as NETTODAT.MAN
5 in NCSEXPERT, load "revtor's profile" (or "FSW PSW MAN" which should be the same?)
6 click "Basic Functions" and select "coapiCodeSgByNettoData"
7 Nettodatenliste: select my NETTODAT.MAN
8 click OK to code the car.

I think the previous coding i've already did will be alaways on my car...

This will be the first time i will code my car with nettodat so i hope it will be OK

thanks and i hope my english isn't too bad

Edit. I went back and re-coded my cas to 05 from 00. You guys were correct I should make it an option to close when I want to. Right now its a quick close and mirrors won't close. But if I hold it for 1/2 second then it closes. Perfect

Yes thats the correct way...Good luck...If you dont like the mirror to close simulataneously with the door then code in value 05

It will make it close almost the same time. Quick press of keyfob closes doors, but a quick press for a 1/2 second more close the mirrors..
