A patch wont hurt anything. They say that the side walls are seriously damaged the more you take the tires off/put them back on... But a patch seriously shouldnt hurt much. Not worth the 400 dollars to replace to tire! Good luck man

Take it to discount tire, they will fix it free of charge. Had mine done last summer, and haven't had any problems since then.

At least you can patch yours. 200 miles after EuroDelivery (about 1100 miles), I had a nail in the sidewall...

I finally got my front tire replaced yesterday after having to wait three weeks for the replacement to arrive, been driving around with it plugged with no problems.
After having to change two RFT from nails at the same time, I am seriously thinking about switching to normal tires. |

Don't take it to the dealer, they will tell you no patch on rfts (at least mine did!).

I haven't found any proof that rfts are more prone to puncture - but I've had 5 within 30,000 miles. Patched the last four after feeling like a fool replacing the tire the first time.

I have had the same tire get flat twice. I have the wheel & tire insurance and they patched it for free the first time. The 2nd time, I drove a good 25 miles w/ the flat and so they replaced the tire for free.

I had the same luck with very few miles on one of my rear sport pkg summer performance RFT tires. The shop I took it to REFUSED to even look at it since RFT's are non-repairable. Since mine had an actual hole in it and they had an exact replacement in stock, I agreed to let them do the work. They then proceeded to gouge up my brand new rim prying the RFT off! (not a good day!)

They tell you this because they want to sell their expensive insurance. Just go to Discount Tire, buy their insurance for $75 and you're covered the life of the tire...except if a puncture is in the sidewall.

I too love your garage. I wish mine looked like that.
I had the stock RFT's for about 12K miles and one year and had 3 or 4 nails and screws in them. I've had my PS2's for the same amount of time and mileage with ZERO problems. Before the RFT's, I went years with no problems. I can't come up with any reasons why RFT's would pick up more nails, but it sure seems like they do if you look at my experience. |

lol that jack looks so scrawny...i'd be afraid to support my car with it, especially since we have the heavier verts. btw, I've had nails in 3 of my tires in 6 months...just patch it up.
