Change IBS

Hello folks, can you simply just change the ibs or does the car need to be plugged in to a diagnostic tool after you fit a new one like you do with a new battery ??

It's just a Senor that reports to the DME.
Why are you replacing it?
Never heard it needs programming.

That's what I thought alright, there's a fault with mine so going to change it

No, it doesn't need programming. Just make sure you plug in the tiny plug in located on the ground wire, or you will get an error.
