Ok it looks like Austin is gonna be the clear winner now we need to know which day. Saturday makes more sense to me. When I had my GTO we did something like this every year, it was called goatfest. We would meet in fredericksburg stay the weekend, have prizes and raffles it was amazing.

Organizing?

At this point, I could see some of the neighboring states' members joining in with this ..... even the local BMWCCA chapters.

Austin is definitely a kind of a town so no shortage of things to do here. If this meet gets to be as big as it sounds; we're definitely going to have to get a handle on a location that will accommodate a sizable group. Saturday is going to be a tough day to secure anything regarding enough parking space. Then again, Sunday kinda sucks for anyone coming in from out of town.

Early enough Saturday to enjoy the meet & live it up downtown.

And the name of this meet will be ........... ????

Wow perfect so Saturday in Austin seems to be the crowd favorite. Those against Sat. in Austin please keep in mind lots more things to do there. If Fairfield wins we'll be the first BMW group in the entire forum with our very own GOATFEST! Baaah, Baaah!!!

Can the local BM guys on this thread please see if you can find a good spot to accomadate I dont know atleast 30 (wishfulthinking 50) cars? Hopefully more as this thread goes on. Please post up your best locations and just like this thread we'll narrow it down. The closer to i35 the better so us coming in from out of town can locate much easier. Later guys and thanks again for all your support in having this. I smell a CARAVAN from DFW to Austin!

Anyone against opening this up to the VW/Audi community? From past meets only 60% or so of the people posted actually show up. If more Euros join the better the show will be. Somewhat biased as I come from the VW and Audi lineup. Miss them days!
Ya or Nay for other Euros??

What's the best route to take to Austin via Houston? I see what look like several different options if anyone has any feedback on the best route. I would be coming from Beaumont on the Texas/Louisiana border.
