What sucks is AFE never contributes to this forum. I search and check all they have all the time is wack ass free shipping promos. I called them before for group buy quote and no call back for 15 headers???.If they didn't make this header for n52. I swear I wouldn't even waste my time with them.

It's very audible... Hah my car sounded like a 67 beetle yesterday. 3 dollar gaskets fixed my problem though just have to be really careful lining the gasket up on the header flange that connects to the mid pipe. Don't waste your money buying a "BMW" gasket from autozone or Oreillys just get a 2 bolt flange gasket with a 2" diameter hole maybe a little larger would be better like 2.1"

I have the AFE headers. I do agree, AFE could be more active on here, but in reality, they have headers for many makes and models and it's not very logical to invest times on forums, I would imagine.
That said, I have had nothing but amazing support from them. I got their catted versions of their high flow headers and when I had a SES light pop up, Steve in support was on the phone with me for almost an hour trouble shooting. I know AA is also great, don't get me wrong - but I wanted to keep my cats and the catless seemed like too much troubles for me. They both promise similar horsepower. The welds on AFE headers are damn near perfect. The flanges are extra thick and the support kicks ass. There are AA headers on sale on the forums for sub 1000 USD, which makes me ponder why - if they bit the bullet too soon or wanted cats? Who knows, would have to ask them. TL;DR - I have AFE headers and I love them more than anything. I also rock AA's tune and the stage 3 manifold with 2nd cat delete. Loud, but who cares. You're only young (SIC) once.

Well, it was a SES, technically.
I believe I had a small leak. I re-torqued flanges, O2 sensor bolts and my mid pipe (2nd cat delete) and have yet to see the error trigger. Been 200 miles thus far and we're good.

I could be wrong, but I think I have the most years/mileage on a set of headers of anyone here. Mine are Supersprint, look as good as the day I bought them, perfect fit, zero exhaust leaks, make excellent power, and have zero drone.

I was ready to buy this but they're sold out. Then I saw on here the extreme power house does price matching. So I emailed mike. Sent him a copy of my print screen. He quickly replied give a day. Then extreme power ended up saying no cause they don't price match Amazon or eBay. Blah blah but this is posted on there site. "PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE !!!
WE'LL MATCH ANY PRICE LOWER THAN OURS AND THROW IN $25 STORE CREDIT !!" Oh well I tried, I guess I'll just spend my money else where moving forward. I just don't understand these corporate companies anymore. I use to have my own business and I always took care of my customers because I know they always come back and spend more. I'm in sales now for 8 years and I still do the same thing, selling things at discount just a little bit lower than others. At the end of the month I always come out up top cause I have more sales due to better pricing. I battle all the time with my manager and at the end she laugh cause I have the most sales, lmao... Sorry for complaining I'm just frustrated, I want my damn header already!!!!! I feel like a fat kid at the ice cream shop I can't make up my mind, lmao |

Just curious. You had to use a tune to pass emissions?

50 state legal for AFE headers. That's why I'm wanting them. I have had catless headers before, short headers, long tube headers, 4-2-1 header, and catless ones. I prefer hassle free onetime install and good quality... AFE HEADERS THE WAY TO GO!!!

Correct, which is fine as the car needed a tune either way between the 3Stage and headers. I made a thread about it last year as there seemed to be some question about plug in emissions working:
