Hi all I am looking to buy a set of style 193m wheels. The factory tire sizes are:

225/40/18
255/35/18

I found a set online for sale with the following setup:

225/45/18
255/35/18


Apologize for the dumb question but will this cause an issue? Speedo? Transfer case?

Thanks. I just ran a comparison for the two tire setups. There's obviously a difference, but I don't know what's considered within spec or not. I don't really care about the Speedo difference, but I would care if it negatively impacts handling and or can mess up the transfer case.

On this forum it's been stated many times there should not be a difference of more than 1% in diameter front to back for AWD vehicles.

Those calculations are not correct as you show. A 255/35/18 is 25.0in and 0.4% smaller than a 225/40/18. But to answer your original question, the front tires are to tall to work with AWD.
