Updated MHD flasher and reflashed a full write with V8 stage 2+ 102RON. Now had two times the 30FF code, never had it before with 98Ron or V7... What could be wrong?

What I did as follows

I am currently having issue with my cable. Every time I connect it to the tablet .. it states it is not connected. I just ordered the "recommended" cable from one of the vendors. Let us know how it turns out.

Is negative boost on idle or very slow driving normal? When the boost target is 0 psi, I always get a negative boost reading. My OEM diverter valves are venting to atmosphere - a.k.a. 2 dollar BOV mod using rubber chair stop on the CP. I have been running it for quite a while and have no logs from back when DVs were connected to the CP. Would that have something to do with this? I never get any 30FF or any other codes showing insufficient boost. Perhaps the negative readings are normal?

*The first image shows it happening after I fully lift off the throttle after WOT.
*The second one is just normal slow commuting driving and accelerating in D mode (on ATF) from gears 2 to 5.

Yes, normal. When turbo cars are not in boost they run on vacuum just like any other non-forced induction car.

If I run MHD stage 2 do I keep original spark plugs or get these "colder" ones?

Either flash back to stock or Stage 0 (Stock Map with MHD Still installed). You can also turn the O2 sensors back on in other maps, but best to just go stock to get tested.

I think you should have colder ones. That applies to higher boost which comes with higher stages and to running E85 blends due to ethanol igniting differently.

I am running either stage 2+ on 93 RON or 2+ 93E30 and haven't got any misfires using NGK 95770 at 0.022" gap. I have run them for maybe 11-12k miles so far and not a single misfire.

I have stage 2+ 93-98 Ron and still have spark plugs Bosch without any problems.Should I get NGK?

Again today on higher rpm, full boost and sudden 30FF, Reset it and everything back ok, full boost pressure in midrange. Reflashed to stage 2+ V7.1 98RON and no problems at all, full power and boost until redline...

I flashed back to mhd map 0 but keep getting Catalysts and Evaporative System INCOMPLETE and Heated Catalyst Not Available. Do i have to check the oem/catted DP option when flashing??

How many miles did you drive since flashing to stage 0? You might have to do the BMW readiness driving cycle to get them to set. And if it says not available that means it is not a test/part of the car, only worry about the ones saying incomplete.

Just Flashed Stage 1 - highway corrections

Used ASUS Memo Pad 7 and Burger Tuning cable to flash Stage 1.
No issues.

Seemed better on a quick drive, going to take it out later and test more fully - was going to log, but found out that costs more even though we are helping test a beta, guess we have to pay to help.

Just to report back, no more issues since I reflashed it after the issue appeared and did above, back to smooth at part throttle high gear high load accelerations!

I have MHD 1.66 right now, and tested almost all versions, V6, V7, V8 Beta.... and it's working with a 2 minutes write. (except the first time of course)


If i update to 1.72, and want to do 2 minutes switch maps as usual like :
V7 to V8 beta
or
V8 beta to V7

The first switch will be a full write 38 mins ??

Why is that? does something has changed in the V8 beta ??

Same here when I updated last version, only now after update I have 30FF code with V8 stage 2+ 102RON

Probably due to higher boost in high RPM and not as much tapering as it used to be...
