Difference Between 07-08 335xi Brakes??

So I ordered a full set of slotted rotors and pads online this weekend and I was reading the description of the AD and I saw that it specified it fit all 335i models and 335XI models to build date 1/07. My car is a 2008 BMW 335xi with a build date of 02/08. What confuses me is that some sets of pads and rotors say they fit all years of the 335xi and some say they don't. Can someone please help me figure out the difference!! Could the pads be slightly different?? The only thing I could think of is the center bore being the wrong size because they are all the size diameter in mm. Please help me out lol Thanks!!

I just checked Bimmerworld.com and they showed their brakes fitting all years of the XI and non XI 06-13 so i'm not sure, I guess ill just wait until they come in unless it is an accident.

Yeah man that's what I'm hoping, I have no idea why they would show that in the ad! They should arrive by the end of this week so I guess all I can do is wait!

Where'd you get them?

If you look at part numbers the brake pads are even shared with the 2006 330(x)i. Rotors are different though. They'll definitely work.

I just got some cheap ones on Amazon lol, they actually had really good reviews and my car needs rear brakes especially. I don't see how much could be different but I'm just hoping it all fits, I also looked and part numbers online searching 2007 vs 2008 and I was able to match and cross reference several numbers so i don't know why they could be different. Thanks a lot for the help though!

Could be that the rotor thickness is different.

Would that make it completely incompatible? I know I read they're the same diameter

The Rotors and Pads finally arrived yesterday! The only difference I spotted within the whole brake kit was the absence of a spring retainer clip on the back side of the outer front pads, it fit a tad bit loose at first but then when I reinstalled the big retaining clip on the caliper, it all tightened up and I couldn't tell a difference! So YES they will fit!!

After bedding the ceramic pads in, the pedal and felt not as touchy as before but I've heard it might return to normal over a few weeks of driving. But hey for eBay brakes they look great and don't vibrate anymore when I'm stopping!!

What wheels are those? They look good.

Also... your rotors are on backwards.

Thank you man! They are Aodhan LS007s 19x9.5/8.5 in bronze. (And yes the rolling diameter is well within spec)....
and about the rotor direction, I used the same orientation of the slots as my friends car who got the same brand of rotors that were labeled to which side they go on. I've heard a lot of controversy about the direction they go but I think they look correct going that direction anyway... right? I'm not too worried about it though lol.

It really depends on which way the internal veins are supposed to rotate, i'm sure your are on correct based off that picture. I've almost never seen a slotted rotor that's supposed to be in that orientation. oh well, it really doesn't matter for the slots, they're pretty much for looks.

That is odd. Mine are the opposite. I even checked the direction guide online to be sure when I installed mine. I guess different manufacturers do it different. The photo is my right front wheel.

Yeah I needed new rotors anyway and I didn't really like the blank rotors so I just got slotted mainly for looks lol! And I checked the vanes yesterday out of curiosity and I found that the vanes are straight anyway, so even if I put them on backwards I don't think it would matter either way.

Yeah I looked at many other manufacturers online too and they all had different orientations in which the slots went.
