CCC Navigation DVD Oceania

BMW ceased support for the CCC Navigation system in 2014 from memory, has anyone been able to take current map data and put it on a DVD for the CCC system to read, or are we stuck back in 2014 forever?

Nobody's done it as far as I know. It's not like anybody really likes 2005 spec navigation in this day and age.

That said, it'd be much easier to do a CIC or NBT retrofit than it would be to update a 2014 disk with newer map data.

Even easier, just throw in an apple carplay/android auto screen replacement and have navigation that has current maps, integrates with the idrive controller and is more or less on par with that found in current cars?

Seems legit to me. Again I'd much rather use a modern platform. Can just tell google via the roof mic to take me to bunnings, instead of plugging in the entire address or looking up recent destinations through the idrive controller.
