Believe it or not, I like the pre-LCI E92s. So I agree with those who say to leave it stock, down to halogen angel eyes. One of my favorite features are the mirrors--LCIs to me don't look good. Is your flashlight still there? Mine still works.

The joke on the Lexus forum is when you get your car used, the tool kit is always stolen (first aid too but that is too old if OE), you buy it back on eBay, maybe your own. I got one for $40 luckily with the original AA batteries still wrapped from 16 years ago lol My Lexus has the original alloy wheel and Dunlop tire--grease markings from the factory on the rim, and the red and yellow dots on the tire. I love finding original things on almost 20 year old cars, which is why I'd leave this 335i as is....

OP, your car, more power to you. But at least get some clear bra and invest in paint protection. I would normally agree that the car needs to be driven but low mile well preserved examples just need to be enjoyed responsibly. Drive it stock and sell your A4 and get another, higher mile 335i as a commuter

You guys are making a convincing argument. Maybe I won't touch it in terms of mods. I might put 2000-3000 miles per year. That was the plan anyway.

Might need to put Akebono brake pads on to cut down on the dust. These OEM pads dust like I've never seen.

What an amazing car this is to drive, even in stock form.

Except for the cruise sensor, plz follow your gut on that it is hideous and this car is one you want to drive 100% on your own anyway.

Keeping cars stock is lame, but this might be the one to warrant it. Congrats on the purchase.

I’ve thought the same thing, and wondered what it would bring on BAT. I also didn’t see what the OP paid for it either though

I wonder too! I don't really want to let it go, but if I can make a good profit than I would consider.

Could put a reserve on it? How much do you think?

I don't want to share what I paid, but it was very reasonable.

You can put a reserve on it at BaT - and being that it is truly fully optioned in a desirable color combo will definitely help.

Make sure you tell them it has ACC - it's an extremely rare option!

I think CIC is desirable. I only use my car's nav feature when I'm out in the mountains and out of phone signal range, so installing something like android/carplay would be useless to me. Regardless, I rarely use maps directions on phones or cars since I find them annoying, especially google maps, waze, apple maps, since they'll tell you bullshit instructions like 'continue straight' as if I'd just take an exit to see if it coincidentally led to my destination.

I think you have the right idea with the direction you wanna take the car. I get where everyone is coming from on it but mine makes 400whp and looks/feels completely stock. Makes power like stock, just more of it. No rattles, warning lights, clunkiness, unreliability, or any other negatives typically associated with 'modified' cars. Engine bay looks 100% stock to the untrained eye and even then, the only modifications are the cowl delete and charge pipe/quiet BOV, both of which can be returned to stock in an hour with no permanent effects. FWIW I'd never do the damn cone filter intakes, and yes you should replace your injectors, HPFP, and anything else that may not be up to snuff on the car as it sits.

The bite on oem pads especially for the early years are unbeatable. EveryONE AND I MEAN EVERYONE! Compliments the oem brakes on the stock e90s even people that drive other performance cars.

Agreed. Low dust pads are low performance pads. Ceramic coat the wheels so it doesn't stick as much

I'd say tasteful/reversible mods are fine.

Upgrade the intercooler, charge pipe and go MHD 1+. You can always put the stock parts back on, but the difference between stock and 1+ is totally worth it.

I was thinking Plasti Dip.

Or even better yet, find a nice slope with a hard curb, pull up parallel and just kiss the curb every so gently with the wheels, and then pop her into neutch and let her drift down the hill for that nice custom distressed look. Do the other side too if you like symmetry.

You're actually a genius! If I do this, don't gotta worry about refinishing one wheel to match the rest!

Yep. I just switched to ceramic and the initial bite is not as good.

Wow, I love seeing photos like this. Takes me back to better days when this platform was just coming out and everyone was so excited to see how fast the n54 aftermarket was catching on. Beautiful car. I'm green with jealous rage!

People likely don't believe it. Whenever a new 3 series coupe came out, there were zero available for purchase nationwide, they were ordered, and took 8-10 weeks.

I got a $1700 discount off mine, which per this forum, was pretty rare. Many people got $500 off or paid list. The way BMW got the money back in those days was by adding Training and MACO--since these didn't appear on Edmunds or anywhere else, it was a slam dunk when people used the "I want invoice." Since they are on dealer invoice, bam!

Since it took me by surprise I said cancel the order, I don't want the 335 anymore (this is 10/06), I'm not paying some bogus fee disguised as a holdback. They removed it.

The car turned heads in late 2006 and early 2007. Most won't believe it, but it did.

Wow, great find, congrats! Do what you want with the car, it's yours to enjoy.

I think it's great you get to do the preventive maintenance mods before they break.
Sounds like you already know to change the Charge pipe before adding boost.

Some seals may have dried out due to the low miles so when you are putting load on the car, just keep an eye out.
