because of owners that don't bother to read the manual to find out the features on the car

I don't know about the new civic... but i know accords and camerys old ones have strap styles they dont go back into thier position slowly ...

Like they are parallel to the roof and you pull em down and when you let them go they slowly go back to thier original resting position.

similar setup on diff de cars

I didn't know that the car will automatically disconnect the battery if you left your lights on. It will work when you start the car again and all you have to do is reset the time and date.

I dont see that as a very smart feature. My good old Toyota turned the lights off automatically rather than disconnecting the battery. No need to re-set the time and date.

Whats the deal with the MP3 thing again? I have an 06 E90 with upgraded radio....I've burned MP3s to CD and the CD works, but what is this deal about burning 10 albums to one disc....?

I have over 350 CD's I'd love to compress...how do you do it? Is there special CDs you have to buy to burn them to?

Nope. Normal CD-R's are working fine for me...

How many albums do you get on a CD-R using the MP3 data format. I was told to get DVD-R and they will store alot more, do our CD players recognize DVD discs? (I have non-nav)

Is this included in some sort of package because my passenger mirror doesn't do this.

I'm going to get in trouble for going off topic again

You need to burn a 'data' cd rather than an 'audio' cd. A cd r holds 650 mb of data. A typical mp3 at 192kbps is around 4 mb so in theory you could fit well over around 160 tracks on a single cd. The cd player doesn't read DVD discs, but if you have Pro-Nav the DVD player can read mp3's off a DVD R. A DVD could hold 4800 mb of mp3 - about 1200 tracks. You can even use a Dual layer DVD 9 which would double that to 2400 tracks - which is Ipod threatening - theres plenty of threads on the forum about this ... use search .

Not that I know of, I believe it's standard. I just checked bmwusa though and I can't seem to find this feature amongst the list of standard features, or the premium package features.

Are you sure you tried this with the mirror switch set to the left? Once you have that, and you put it in reverse, the passenger side should go down. Try moving the switch to the right then back to the left and try again.

In the UK you only get this if you have the optional electrically adjustable seats with position memory.

Actually that's true in the US as well.

It was included in the optional Premium package for the US 2006 E90 325i and 330i and is described in the brochure as "Interior and power-adjustable folding exterior mirrors with automatic-dimming function"

If you have the Premium package on your car, ensure the mirror select switch is set to the left. The right side mirror won't move if the switch is to the right.

Ah thanks for clarifying guys, last 3 posts. I was looking for something like "tilt" or "reverse" in reference to the mirrors, not just that they fold.

So in short: premium package!

if you have power seats with memory then you have the auto tilt down feature in reverse gear. that means for US spec cars, all 330s have the auto tilt down feature, even 330s without premium pkg.

On the 03-07 G35 coupes, there arent any 'oh sh!t' roof handle. Instead, they made the 'oh shit' handle by the door handle. Same goes for the 350z.

Two things:

1. On the E92 my center console is hard to close. I found that if you set it down gently, and then press your right thumb on the top, front center of the console it will lock back nicely.
2. This may be old, but I found that the leaf catchers in the engine compartment come out, making it very easy to clean out leaves and debris.
