Just read through this thread and all I can say is wow. The amount of work you have done and how good everything looks, you should be very proud.

Keep up the great work!

So.... THE ROOF IS DONE!

I just took my first test drive. I love this car! Roof came out perfect glass guys did a great job. I’m still waiting on a few black interior trims I ordered but the car is running and driving again. All told I have about 40 hours and $1500 into this swap with interior trims, labor on the glass pulling and reinstall, supplies (clear coat, roof adhesive, clamps, etc) and the cost of the roof with freight.

I would really like to. I’m guessing it’s under 3100lbs but I would love to weigh it. And it still needs a dyno too.

Would be great to see what it does on the dyno with the alignment you did with the n54 manifold to the head. Maybe one day we'll see one of these N52s pull 100hp/Liter NA by an average enthusiast and not a sponsored shop.

I felt and measured (with Dragy) a small difference after I aligned the manifold. I also ported and polished it while I was aligning it. It was easy cause it’s plastic a dremel made quick work of it lol

I’m pretty sure this motor is making 100bhp right now.

And an Update...

I went back over the roof yesterday and spent 5 hours sanding and buffing. The scratches bugged me I felt like after all the work I did less than perfect wasn’t acceptable. So here it is finally DONE!

I have a good idea what I want to do, and not everyone is going to like it but I sincerely appreciate all the feedback.

What I have in mind will be paint added for sure because I’m not really fond of how the lines flow on the car now... but there will be carbon exposed on each panel also. And not everyone is going to like it... but it’s my car not theirs lol

I’ve started looking for a decent shop to do the paint work in my area.

So I have been doing some thinking and reading up.

I don’t think this build is a 328is themed any more. Seems like it’s more along the lines of a 328CSL now? I googled what does bmw CSL mean and it said...

“Coupe, Sports, Lightweight”

I think you deserve major props for the methodical way you've gone about this build, and it's been fun to read the thread from beginning to now...but this is by far my favorite part...

I don’t even know what happened... maybe I couldn’t leave the canvas blank after spending so much time modding. It’s kind of therapeutic for me I like researching things to see if they work and then trying something new to push myself a bit... but I wouldn’t change a thing lol

I agree...the result is awesome. So much more so because it's well thought out and properly executed.

Realized I never posted an update to this thread when I installed the Euro intake about 3 months ago. I did this to make filter changes easier because with my ram set up feeding into the bottom of the Airbox it’s a pain to remove the stock one to filter change.

And of course I wrapped everything I could in heat tape before install. Because Gold is Fast don’t you know
