Homemade baked beans on toast, bacon and egg. That should last me until dinner time when the girls take me out to the pub. My best friend from Halifax should arrive shortly to join in the festivities.

I threw some leftovers from dinner into the microwave yesterday for breakfast. When I took the plate out after 2 minutes of nuking, I noticed a large black crumb on the outside edge of turntable glass as if something had fallen off of my plate. I tried to pick it up between my thumb and finger, but it scooted away when I started to pinch. Upon closer inspection, that crumb had eight legs and was a small black spider!
After I reduced the spider to two dimensions and disposed of its remains, my DW who is deathly afraid of spiders asked if something was wrong in the kitchen. I told her that everything was under control, but that she should immediately call the police if I suddenly started climbing walls and shooting webs out of my wrists like what happens in comic books when a dude is bitten by a radioactive spider. Seriously though, I have no idea how that spider survived two minutes in the microwave with no shelter and definitely in the magnetron's focal zone.....

Report from the kitchen (again):
Scrambled eggs, sausage, spinach, and (don’t hate me) cream cheese. A few sprinkles of Thai hot pepper on top.
