Evening,
I had to finally say goodbye to a faithful but rusty and oil hungry silver E46 330i touring. So I just bought a silver E91 330i. Only 5 years younger but feels like a new car. |

Hello Newbie here
Hello All,
As my user name suggests. My kids think im a Garage as well and will fix all their cars. Guess what one of them has bought a 2010 316d E90. Joy I hear you say. He knew it had problems. I know have to do a crash course in BMW. The car is not showing any love so far. Key mechanism broken. Did that. Drivers door lock actuator replacement. (right hand in the UK) Not hard. Shame the frm died when connecting the battery. FRM sorted but I think the new actuator has a problem will no topen with the key. So more to do at the weekend. Just have an ABS sensor to sort and get to grips with INPA. Hope not to post many problem questions but maybe be able to contribute in some way in the future. Thanks for reading. ( Thats if you stayed awake long enough. ) :-) |

Hello guys, Newbie here
Hi everyone! I'm excited to join this forum site and connect with other enthusiasts. I've been a fan of BMW for years and recently purchased an E90 model. I'm looking forward to learning more about the car and sharing my experiences with the community. This is my first time joining a car forum, so please let me know if there's anything I should know or if any tips you have for getting started. Thanks.

A bit late to this part of the forum only just noticed it the other night. Im the lucky owner of a 335d e91 lci for almost 3 years.
Its my 4th bmw in a row. In order of 2006 530d e60 - 2006 330d e90 - 2006 335d e90 to where I am now. Bought the car totally standard with just an mtc intercooler and a tuning box fitted. Now she’s stage 3 engine and gearbox remap and around 430bhp by glen at gkr. Great car can’t beat the engine for power and economy also bonus I’ve got is a panoramic roof. Lots of work done over the years even had a top end rebuild and chains done about 3 months ago as engine died while driving. Now tempted to buy a fresh set of injectors and maybe push more power let’s see where the rocky road leads to or maybe sell up and build a big power m140i in sunset orange Wich I’m very tempted by. |

Hi everyone, I just wanted to make a quick introduction. I've had a e91 318D for a few years now, I must admit I only bought it as I wanted an Estate car with cheap road tax, and much to my surprise this popped up in my search, not far away with low miles.
Anyway I've come to like it a lot, even though she is just an old girl and really a sheep in wolf's clothing. Another good thing is that she is old enough to be able to work on myself, not too many electronics on it if you know what I mean. I've got more and more disillusioned with garages, the standard of work they do, and the hassle and expense involved, so have recently decided to do the work on the car myself, and invest the money saved on tools. I maybe should mention that over the last few years I have restored an old Land Rover Series 3 and fitted a Rover 3.5 V8 in it, so that has built up confidence in my mechanical skills. So far I have changed rear drive shafts, as I was having problems with the ABS sensors, which turned out to be the reluctor rings gone very rusty. I've put new discs and calipers on the rear, and done oil changes. My idea is to keep it as long as possible and see if I can't get at least 200,000 miles out of it, so I am starting to plan for how that will work, and what I need to keep on top of, which is why I decided to come on here and hopefully pick up some tips and advice. |

Hi. Long time (3 years) lurker here.
Bought one owner 46,000 miles E93 325i SE auto with FBMWSH one week before lockdown (March 2020) at very good price. It’s a 58-plate with CIC, DAB, Bluetooth, MSport heated seats, 800W high end audio, F/R parking sensors, folding mirrors, comfort access, active steering, high-beam assist, plus other small extras. Apart from doing a gearbox oil change, updating Sat nav, adding personalised No. plate, painting the brake callipers and replacing worn run-flats with standard tyres, it’s needed nothing other than normal servicing. I’m doing this at a BMW main dealer to keep the service history going. Mrs K loves it. |
