Correct usage of gearbox

Hello,

I have a car 335i E90 {N55} 6 speed automatic (As I know, gearbox is a `ZF`).

Car gives me an opportunity during driving, to change a gear from D -> N and from N -> D. While gearbox gives me opportunity of this, is this safe action ?

Sometimes it is funny to change gear from D -> N and floor it and listen exhaust sound.

How safe is everything this ?

I read about this topic, but I was confused because everyone has different opinion about this topic.

I mean, any reccomendations for this specific model/gearbox ?

It's harmless. Childish, but harmless.

Just don't change it to reverse while rolling forward.
