Bricked radio
So I just used ista p to do an update and I think it bricked the radio.
Does this mean it’s bricked? Says swl-sdars This is in an r60 Mini Cooper COUNTRYMAN https://www.dropbox.com/s/nohj0ymdxi..._0600.PNG?dl=0 |

Ista P is dangerous .
Use Inpa functional jobs to read the modules or you might even try Ista D. The general knowledge here is you can not use K/D can cable to update Most Bus modules of which the Head unit is one. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-P-actually-do |

did this too
I did this too. Its recoverable. Inside ISTA before you flashed the modules did you take a print out of the ZU numbers for each module? If you did take that number, open each SP DATEN file that lists what ZU numbers each one goes to. Possibly .HKM in that directory. Once you find that you'll know which one to force onto the radio.
I initially bricked my radio flashing the wrong file, then I did the above and I think it was a RAD2. It will come back, takes a long time to flash so make sure you aren't using a Mac inside VM, but a real Windows PC. Works great on PC and its hit and miss on Mac. |
