Hmmm...not sure what to say. Your best bet is to track your CA down and insist on a print screen off his DCS terminal. It has the full information, as I posted earlier.
When I go to the W W L site http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp (cargo tracking), my VIN consistently pulls up the 'cargo status history' under Auto Cargo. You can also track the DJ's progress by going through Schedules-->Search by Vessel. I hope everything squares up for you soon. Btw I noticed our cars were made at the 'P' plant (Regensburg)...

Cool! If you look up by bill number on the WWL site, it gives you a list of cars loaded up, different manufacturers included...all in all about 5,434 cars on board. If I had a VIN decoder it would be interesting to see the different cars on board...I wonder how the cars are loaded/secured for the entire trip. ... ok this is getting to be too OCD

KL2DC...where did you get the call sign (SGIX) for the Don Juan? I tried looking for that information wherever I could think of, but didn't find it. Of course it would be a lot easier to locate our ride if only it would show up on www.sailwx.info as "Don Juan." Fletch!

You are right sir, its per shipment, per port (d'oh bill of lading) 544 cars going to SC
Wow what a toy store! As expected a majority of it are e90/e91s and e60/61s. Quite a number of e65/66, e46 coupes/'verts and 650 coupes and 'verts. But whats interesting are the WBS VINs...counted 3 e60 M5s and a handful of e46 M3s...oh yeah saw a coupla X3s in there as well.... Need to snap out of this...

I believe I got the call sign from the sailwx.info site, looking up by vessel name. I also learnt of the call sign from the port Bremerhaven site: http://www.dbh.de/index.php?id=151 (just punch in your port, type of ship (vehicle carrier) and dates and it'll give you a list of vessels leaving within that time period. You can click the names of the vessels to give you even more details such as voyage number, country of origin/registration, year of construction, contact person and phone number, call signs etc. ... and I believe I saw a file photo of the Don Juan somewhere I can't recall... For some reason the Don Juan is not reporting AIS. The last report was in Nov 2005. That is why its not showing in the www.sailwx.info site, darn crew just too lazy to report in ... i don't mind, just as long as they keep their hands on the wheel and head straight towards NY/SC ... and oh, stay clear of the icebergs

What's cool is Don Juan has already entered the channel to the port since I grabbed those pics! Maybe I'll sit back and watch this thing dock!

nevermind that was for the trial-subscription, just registered for the public access account ... you got to know where to look on the map....can't look up by call sign/vessel name.
Do you know what the D J is doing in Southhampton? Refueling/restocking? Loading/unloading i.e. picking up Minis?

As for what the DJ will do once it docks...I have no clue, but I suspect it will either drop off some BMW's, pick up some Minis, or both. It's scheduled out again for open seas tomorrow. Then what...10-11 days or so across the pond? Fletch!

Some choice snippets ...
The PCTC (Pure Car Truck Carrier) M/S DON JUAN has a capacity of 5,846 cars or a combination of 2,959 cars and 485 trucks. "Heavy units are loaded on the strengthened 4th, 6th and 8th decks, which can carry loads of 1.5, 2.5 and 1.5 tons/m2 respectively. The other decks allow loads of 0.25, 0.30 and 0.50 tons/m2. Deck No. 5, 7, 9 are divided into hoistable sections allowing vehicle heights up to 5.0 metres." ... veritable parking garage on water File Photos ... "Fans evenly distributed throughout the vessel on upper deck creates good ventilation during loading/discharging. In the main holds air is changed at least 25 times an hour and even up to 50 times an hour in the smaller holds." "The ship also has a restaurant, TV-room/ library, gymnasium, outdoor swimming pool and a sauna."
