Touchless car wash? That's an oxymoron, like saying honest car salesman.

Just be proactive and towel it away as soon as you open the door after the wash. Its not that much water. If you're paranoid, condition the leather.
+1 Mine only leaks during exit from a touchless car wash when it passes under the air blower, and only leaks may be 10 drops from each corner of the windshield frame. I always bring some paper towel with me and just wipe it off. Yours sounds like a good reason to go back to the dealer for some new seals and adjustment.

I've used car washes and DIY and haven't noticed anything leaking.

Of course when you first open the doors water gathered in the molding/trims drip down, but that's nothing.

I've not had any rain yet; although expecting some this weekend.

Minor leaks

Mine leaks very slightly, (with a few drips), if the hose nozzle is aimed between the rear and front windows...otherwise no problems...but then I've never really driven it in heavy rain as it doesn't rain much in SoCal...and I avoid driving the car in rainy weather.

certainly should not be leaking water...

I use a power wash to wash the car, and I've sprayed the ridges / edges in full blast, not a single drip of water ANYWHERE...

you've definately got a problem... certainly go get it checked...

maybe you can take a video while a buddy washes your car under medium pressure or during a rainstorm just so that there is concrete proof to show to your dealer or BMWNA.

plus then you can show exactly where it's leaking...

it doesn't sound like your dealer wants to deal with the problem, but if you show them proof, i can't see how they'd refuse a repair.

If you want proof that other cars don't leak, I have some....took a video of a fun drive during the twisties and we hit some REALLY BAD weather....not a single leak....AT ALL! (this was HEAVY rain)

Just washed the car today in an automatic car wash for fun while thinking about this post. No problems whatsoever. After waxing the car and finishing up the detailing I retracted the roof. Lo and behold there was a resevoir for water between the windshield and roof and they worked perfectly. I would estimate there was less than a teaspoon of water COMBINED.

Mind you, I ran the car through an automatic car wash with FULL PRESSURE HOSES and no water came in. I usually get a couple of drips whenever I take it to the hand car wash yet this time 0 water came in. I may start taking it to an automatic wash from now on

Take the car to your Stealership and rip them a new one. Your rubber stops and resevoirs are malfunctioning.

That sucks. In the meantime (I know this sounds super lame) I would lay down some towels where the water is dripping for now and just drive over to service. This is a common issue I had with a Benz CLK 550 soft top until they adjusted it.

Save what you can because you'll appreciate it later. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I think you are an isolated case.

I think I may have gotten the only lemon on the lot
Going to see what happens when it rains and then take it back.
Guess I will be calling BMW NA, again

Closest other dealer is 188 miles away

This is really pissing me off, this is the 4th BMW I have owned and the worst so far, butt it is the best looking one I have ever seen.

Don't wait for the rain. Be proactive!

Remember, you paid them a lot of money and deserve to be treated with respect. You could have taken your business elsewhere, right?

I would never take my E93 to a TCW. I either take it to a hand wash company or wash it myself. As for rain, I got my car in February and haven't had any leaks. However, the rainy season just started again out here, so we'll see..

TCW = Light spray, then foam, then a rinse ( the rinse is not as hard as the hand held car wash )
Never had any other car or convertible leak with a TCW, except my transformer WaterFaLL
