Question on lowering my e92 with ZSP
Searched on the forums and found a few threads. Mostly it was guys with "i" guys and not "xi". As you all know the wheel gap is horrid, although it still looks good to the untrained eye. I've always like the stance of my e92 but lately I'm wanting to lower the car. Wanted to know from the masses out there, what would I gain in replacing the stock ZSP springs (and keeping the stock ZSP shock) with an aftermarket spring such as eibach or H&R? What are the pros and cons and what spring would be recommended to accomplish this. Thanks in advance guys!

Do the struts/shocks when you do the springs. The ride will otherwise be comprimised, as will the effective life of the OE struts/shocks, and you'll have to have to do the labor twice when they eventually blow.
MassBimmer did springs first, hated it, then had to pay again to have the struts/shocks done afterwards. Short story, do it right the first time. |

Good advice...Thanks Guys! I figured I would have to replace the whole thing rather than just the spring. Aside from coils is there a good shock/strut/spring combination specifically for the xi?
