Selling car with private plate

Hi

Can I sell my car complete with a private plate or do I have to remove it?

There isn't much point in me retaining the plate as I'm moving abroad and I don't really have the time to faff around selling it privately.

Nope just sell it, all plates are "private" as they are all individual. Just happens that you picked a individual one to match your name etc. Just traded mine in with PP still on it.

Ah right so the buyer just gets to keep the PP, do I have to complete any paperwork specifically for the plate?

Sorry I really don't have the time to start messing around with the DVLA changing over plates etc. If your just looking for something to hide the age of the car then you can pick them up from £300 I think.
