Cat A and cat B write offs can't go back on the road. Cat A everything has to be crushed and cat B can have parts salavaged then crushed. I think their trying to get the most ££££ he can by playing dumb!

I wish Fella, although if I had that sort of folding stuff lying around,it would be an M3 or a Porsche over the GTR.

Category B Insurance Write Off - the vehicle must not be used again but non- structural and roadworthy parts and components may be recovered for use in other vehicles. Care must be taken to ensure that they are not critical components with important safety functions. Again there are several online companies who will offer significant amounts of money for Category B Insurance Write Off vehicles.

Some boner will buy it.
Sad - but that's life. If it were any different we wouldn't be in a recession created by bankers.

Engine if working is worth at least 10k+ id say prob 12k.
A working 'box probably 5-6k. Brakes gotta be worth a fair chunk also.
