No, butI have seen a similar one is a Japanese magazine for Euro cars. I hear it does work though.

Lots of guys over at mbworld.org have them on their AMG's and have said very good things about them. Didn't know I could get one for my 335.. need to look into this now!!

Seems like it does what a sport button does. Kind of useless in a turbo application with the inherent lag... Great for NA engines and supercharged AMG cars

The Sprintbooster works by remapping the throttle control signals so that your gas pedal appears more sensitive. Very much like a sport button in the M-cars.

Performance is not improved.. you will not gain any additional power from this device.

Useful if your gas pedal has plenty of dead travel. Tried it out in my M3 and it made smooth driving difficult esp on lower gears in sport mode.

Personally, I prefer my throttle pedal to have a long and linear travel. Makes it easier to modulate.

There was a heated discussion on M3forum about the sport button. About how it does nothing for performance, but noob insist that it made the car faster...


as someone mention, it remaps the throttle so that with a little tap, it'll be like pressing the gas pedal half way.

i'm not sure what it will do to this car, as we will have to fight turbo lag...esp. those that are modded.

If that how this works, I can see the MPG going down pretty low with this mod.

That's all it does, is making the gas pedal more responsive, you don't have to press it as much to get the RPMs up. I liked it in my M3 since it made city driving much more effortless. just nudge the gas and the car goes...

ah perfect. i happen to be from mbworld.org and i have the sprintbooster on my C32 AMG. It was an amazing addition. i purchased it for $250 shipped and it was an easy installation. There is a drastic increase in throttle response and it is even easier to break the tires loose now. i cant imagine driving without it. i remember reading so much about it on the forum and how everyone said this is a "must do" modification. well it is and its great. i hope they make one for the 335i as well (if not, then something similar to it)

my knowledge of the mods for the 335i are limited as i have not gotten one yet. during december, my C32 will be traded in for this lovely car, though it will be missed greatly. hopefully those JBS2 kits are quick enough to keep up with my aftermarket pullied C32, or i am going to be a little disappointed.

The "sport button' is supposed to make the mapping more aggressive and change the shift points. When I test drove an AT 328 you could feel a big difference.

The only button on a BMW that increases power is the power button on an
M5/M6. Sport buttons only change the throttle sensitivity and putting the shifter in DS mode only changes the transmission shift logic. PERIOD

I'm sure the M button does the same thing as DS

IF I could make a graph I would but I'l do it in numbers for example.

Throttle postion to actually throttle position

In regular mode the throttle position is less aggressive...example at 20% throttle it may only be 10% in reality, at 30/15% and so on.

In DS it may change that to be 20% position /25% or what is known as positive exponential. So realistically the car is producing more power and is more aggressive. I guess in simplest terms it's "more sensitive" but in reality it's making more power.

I test drove a new Subaru (the turbo outback) and it had a graphical illustration of the power out put on the dash. Limiting the fuel...makes less power.

wow sounds like a very intresting product... im very curious... the Sport mode in my dad's old e43m3 made a huge difference! would be VERY cool if they made this product for the 335 and/or made it so you could have a switch button, like a sport button!

Perfect idea, otherwise you are in sport mode 100% of the time.

Yes difference is huge. Pedal feels awkwardly unnatural now. (Just tried it). You touch it, and car just flies. Instaboost too. A little annoying when it down shifts when you dont want to and only want to build speed, not just rocket off.

I have it on my Procede V3 6MT e93 335ì, It is really cool.
The car is much more responsive and also when you change gear the rpm drop is more limited, therefore the shifting appears to be much quicker.
No turbo lag whatsoever, you think you want to go and instantly the cars leaps forward, like on the new M3 when you push the sport button.
