Cashing in on BMWs fine craftmanship I see. Good for them.
There is one catch with those vent tabs, from what i remember someone mentioning here on the forum is that they don't swivel up and down.
Can anyone with these tabs verify this?

I ordered from the vent tab site. They are a perfect replacement superior to the OEM but expensive

Hello everyone.

I am surprised that nobody mentioned the core reason why the tabs break. After some years the vents begin to work harder and harder and the pressure needed on the tabs must be higher in order to adjust the vents. Mine got to the point where the left-right movement is almost impossible. Obviously if I apply more force the tabs will break. I intend to dissassmeble them and clean with water and soap.

a drop of silicon oil applied with a syringe will save you the hassle of taking them apart.

Thanks for your reply. I already tried that with no success. Seems that the PO used some sticky stuff to clean the vents.

Update: DO NOT BUY from Amazon link above imo. The chrome finish isnt actually chrome, more of a silver slate and doesn't match oem for me

Hard to capture the light for it, but basically mine oem had a mirror like finish to it where this replacement had a matte finish

Wanted to give an update on my vent tab... it's still sliding and working like it should. No problems or issues yet to report.

I saw this thread pop up again, totally forgot to mention that I fixed everything 3 years ago! All I did was remove the trim, use crazy glue and glued the adjusters back, and then everything now works like brand new.
