First time switching it.

Alright guys so I have a 2008 328xi sport package coupe. It was my dads before he gave it to me last year. He always took it to the dealer to get the brakes done but I wanna do them myself. I've done brakes before on my past cars. And seen enough vids for this car to not have an issue, only concern I'm having is picking the right combo of pads and rotors. I've been stuck on Akebono based on what all the different threads and comments say. However I can't find a package to fit my car for all 4 pads and rotors. Also I was told I need my suspension done in the front so what would be a good one to get and since I have AWD don't I have to do the back aswell. Thank for your help and input guys. I'm looking to change my brakes/rotors this weekend but I guess i can hold off on the suspension for now. I don't care too much about the bite I just hate squeaky brakes, and the dust haha but I know the dust is inevitable.

Do you mind condensing your info down to a specific question? I can guess what you might be a asking but I thought it would just be easier to ask.

If you are asking what rotors work well with Akebono Euro pads, I would suggest that many peeps have had success with Zimmerman or Centric.

After many hours learning about brakes the only thing I can say with confidence are brake pads are all about compromise. You need to define what you want as "GOOD". From the vagueness of your request I'm just going to assume you want a decent daily driver pad. I can't recommend enough Centric High Carbon Rotors and Centric Posi-quiet Pro pads. The pads are a ceramic pad so super low dust but that also means less initial bite. The rotors come coated so the look better for longer and best of all rock auto has the best prices around. This IMHO is the best value proposition.

Nothing wrong with going non BMW branded OEM supplier pads (Textar I believe) with Zimmerman rotors. I think the newer pad design dusts less but wouldn't bite as well as the carbon metallic pads. Again I go back to my compromise point...

Alright so I just wanted to let you know i installed the pads and rotors you reccomeded and let me just say I honestly like these better than whatever the dealer use to put on. No noise and they stop very well and I useualy wash my rims every two days. It's now been day 4 and I haven't washed em! Thank you so much. Now next recommendation is shocks and stuts the dealer said I need them in the front I should replace soon. Any suggestions 😁

Both are Bilstein, check rock auto under suspension --> strut. The OEM supplier (Sach's) are much cheaper. If you're replacing just the fronts I would try and keep it OEM so you don't start unbalancing the car with different setups.

I'd go with Zimmerman rotors and Akebono pads. Look into Brembo rotors too. They are pretty good.

I'd buy all my stuff from FCP. They will give you a lifetime warranty.

As far as shocks & struts go - Bilstein B4 sport edition.
