Help Update my CIC nav

Hi good evening my friends!

I have a problem, I can't update my 2010 e92 maps. The car was built in late 2009 but registered in 2010
Its stuck on BMW Map Europe PREMIUM 2009-2. i managed to extract from the car my 1b.hex file got the fsc code but doesnt work... it says that my fsc code is wrong.

i was trying to install PREMIUM EUROPE WEST 2018-1 with the 3 usb sticks.
On the FSC generator i tried all sort of codes and none worked.

i do have pro nav and etc...

Here my vin: P487921

help me please!!! best regards

There is a 2019-1 available if required? I had an issue where I was putting 0 instead of letters (O) for my key but it does work.
Attach your .1b ill take a look.

Couple of things to keep in mind:

1. If your CIC is still on the factory firmware version (Before March 2010), maps cannot be successfully updated via USB. (The map should show an "i" with a checkbox in the lower left corner)

2. If you retrieved your 1B file with the USB method, it may not "grab" the right part of the persistence file, or may have a corrupt file.

i will try with "O" instead of "0" ahahah
i checked my .1b file and i was supposed to get the FSC Code in a text file using the batch program but it was empty... so this means that is corrupt?

i will try to get the .1b file here!

Hi Jagaer

Is there a process you know of to update CIC firmware to enable map updates? Or is it simply that map updates need to be run via a different method to usb transfer?

Thanks
