Does anybody know?

I have an 06 330xi. I have been looking to lower it and want to make sure I get the correct information. I am only going to have the car for another year or so, so I do not want to dump 1800.00 into coil overs. I am going to do springs only. I see that many members with newer cars such as the 335xi have posted on this topic, but not many for the older one such as mine. Can you put 330i lowering springs on the xi?

Thanks for the info. Just want to make sure the front of the car isnt sitting higher than the rear and it seems as though people have had the best luck using non xi model springs.

check the FS section and see if someone is getting rid of them. thats what i did since my car is leased as well. you DO have to get XI specific springs though so it might be harder to find a set than non-XI

Ok so I have two different verdicts to my question. I tend to find myself leaning towards Fizzle and PNF because I know that they know their Stuff.
Anyone else have a comment?

thanks guys!

not true a lot of XI owners experimented and regular springs for I's work just the same since the I springs are a bit lower then the XI's

Anybody else, I am now 2 for the possiblity and 2 against it. Come on guys I need some hard evidence! Anybody on here do it? Any pics, any problems?
I guess I should just put the xi springs on it, but on here it is so much easier and cheaper to find the non xi springs.

Since you'll probably return the car in another 1 year or so, I wouldnt worry too much and the springs are not that expensive IMO. Maybe a brand new set for about $300 or less?

Besides, if you do buy it for $300, I'm sure you can sell it for $100-150 later on.

But remember, to figure in your installation price too.

Too bad you're too far out, or else, you can get pretty good deal for pro services at SupremePower east .

Trust me, the money is well worth it, even for just a year or summer!

BTW, if after this car, if you're planning to the same E9x in 2011 or 2010 model, you can probably carry over this spring/coilover too.
