I've checked the connections several times. know it was the same thing on the driver's seat until I plugged in k_can. but like I said, I have no connection on the passenger side for k_can.
I have modify on the seat connector.
does not think I should have to recode the car when it works on the driver's side?

Since you modified the seat connector...did you check your cars harness to make sure the power and ground pins line up? In other words, my car initially came with manual seats so I had to modify my cars harness to have power and ground. I wired them based on the configuration of the seat I purchased. Interestingly enough, the wiring between the m3 seats I have now and my buddy's 335 is different so I had the move the pins around depending on which seat I'm using.

I did not have to so any coding for both seats to work

I want to swap a non sport heated seats for a sport heated seats E87. The plugs and pin, seems to be equal to the e90, does anybody know if the electric diagram is exactly the same.

Thank you
I was checking the wiring diagrams and I think that pins 2 and 3 belong to lumbar support and side bolsters, either one. But in the pictures that are upload in this post they said that pin nš7 is for lumbar support. Is that an error or is it correct. Can anybody clarify this, because I am trying to get power to lumbar and side bolsters from fuse box.

I would just disregard those pin diagrams and look at the actual seat harness to figure out the pin configuration. I have seen two different pin configurations between m3 seats and 335 seats. As long as you pair up the power/ground from the car's harness to the seat's harness then you will be fine.

So which wires are the K CAN wires connected to when hooked up to the radio?

I have all movement apart from forwards and backwards. Car is an E92 2008 (Pre-LCI) 320i coupe M-Sport.

There are KCAN wires everywhere. The easiest I found was right behind the glove box there are a bundle of wires there. The two kcan wires I believe we're green/yellow and green/orange but double check the thread to confirm as I did mine 2+ years ago

I still cannot get power to the forwards and backwards movement on drivers side (haven't started passenger side yet). RHD drive car.

I done the pin4 12v and pin8 gnd bridges but have yet to connect the K_CAN.

Should I be able to get power to the forwards and backwards movement prior to connecting up to K_CAN?

No you must connect kcan before the power move by works correctly. Otherwise they'll work only for the first few minutes after connecting the battery and not after that

I already have located the pins for lumbar and side bolsters on my sport seats, nš7 for power and nš13 for ground. Now I need to run the wire to the rear of the fuse box to connect to fuse 32, but I didnt locate any pic or DIY about how to dissasemble the fuse box and wich connector to use to tap my wire in the fuse box.
Can anybody help me?

Just tap into the fuse box. Pull out a fuse or find a fuse slot with 10amps and just plug the wire into that. No need to get behind the fuse box. Or get a fuse tap adapter which is what I ended up doing

By the way I read in this post that if you only want to retrofit sport heated seats (not electric movement), you can simply connect pin 7(side bolster+lumbar support) to pin 9(heated system) and pin 8 (ground) with pin 13(ground). Then they have to share the same fuse, and as it is very hard to me to underestand the fuse diagram, can anybody confirm that they share the same fuse and in that case which fuse is that?
And do I need to switch on the heated system to inflate the side bolsters and the lumbar support?
Best Regards.

Thx, finally I found that the fuses for the heating module-f68(20A) and the lumbar and side bolsters f-20(30A) are diferent. So I am going to use the tap adapter you suggest, so no need to remove the fuse box, neither the junction box. My next question is about the ground, I have 3 options
1 bridge to ground on pin 8
2 run wires until x173
3 run wires until the bold in the seat.

Which option you think is the best?

Regards

Did anyone manage to get heated seats working on a non factory heated car with no coding?

I'm going from manual, heated base seats to full power heated sport seats. I'm starting on the passenger side first and bridged power between pin 4 and 9, and then bridged ground between 8 and 13. I can only get lumber and side bolsters to work. The seat movement and heat are not working!

I bench tested the passenger seat and I can get it to move for a few minutes and then it stops. It looks like I do have K CAN wires on the passenger seat, so I tapped into some K CAN wires by the sub, but still no movement or heat?!

I also noted that on the bottom of both diver and passenger seats, they both have the larger black boxes (both are same size).

I've read this whole thread 3 times but I don't fully understand the whole seat heater module vs seat module thing. Could this be my problem?

Can anyone please give me some pointers on what I can try next? Do both seats have to be connected for this to work or should I be able to get only the passenger seat working?
