Just watched the last 30 laps of the Hungarian GP and my fav line of the race was Martin Brundle commenting, "I'm sure Verstappen is aware that he has Lewi5 Hamilton in the works Mercedes on fresh medium tires chasing him down." This is the second time he has alluded to the intimidation factor of Lewis in that car. He also remarked similarly last year at the German GP stating, "Lewis in the works Mercedes coming up behind you is work about a second a lap in pace."

Lewi5 + Works Mercedes = Deadly Combination.

Just got back from vacation and watched the race. I had been avoiding F1-related threads here and elsewhere but when I saw activity here I had a hint as to what may have happened.

But just a hint. What a drive! Max was brilliant in quali but the Red Bull race pace wasn't there. And what happened after that first HAM pit stop -- he covered a 6 second gap in a lap! Red Bull must have been snoozing. Then the courage to commit and the timing of the second pit stop was absolutely brilliant. Lewis took care of the rest. What a drive.

....if it's not fame and it's not money....perhaps it is something much deeper that is not manifest in his life right now.

I think he meant giving up on trying to convince people meat is bad and telling people the benefits of vegan lifestyle. That is what his previous posts were about prior to saying he is giving up.

Sounds about right. The story has made its way to CNN; their version is less mysterious, more focused on saving the planet.

His heart's in the right place, but for a multitude of reasons, he's not the right person to deliver this message in this manner.

No problem with him saying it, what's the difference.

It's fine for him to promote veganism and saving the planet. I have no problem with him doing the latter, but others do, because his career makes a big carbon footprint.

My problem is the depressed, suicidal whining and hopelessness. I mean, c'mon.

That looks delicious!! Thanks for posting this here, now I know where I'll have to head for some food when I'm there in mid November (I'm volunteering as a corner worker for a 24H series race).

Any other places youd suggest for good food?
