Loved the book.

I have a feeling this Hollywood movie is going to ruin it.

Roundel has an article about the filming with the Turner car a few months ago. Look forward to seeing the movie.

My thoughts exactly.

The book was outstanding tho, and I'm not even a big reader. I'm looking forward to the movie, but not the inevitable watery eyes.

Have read this book two times and it's fantastic. Even cooler that BMWs will be featured! Can't wait!

Same. If I end up watching this movie and the dog dies in the end, I'm going to walk over and punch my neighbor square in the throat.

Unrelated: My neighbor sucks.

So I just read the book in two days (couldn't put it down) and cannot stop thinking about it! What a great novel!! And I can't remember the last time I read a novel! Hopefully the movie doesn't ruin the book.

Now I want to continuing reading and need suggestions for some other great reads. Not just about dogs and cars (where you can never go wrong, but this book was so much deeper than that), but of other deep, beautiful, inspiring, real novels. So what do you guys recommend?

I read A Dogs Journey and A Dogs Purpose around the same time I read this book about 10 years ago, both of which have made it to movie status now too.

I agree, great book, I hope the movie doesn't ruin it!

I read the book - it's great; I live in Seattle as well and look forward to the movie.

It was difficult watching the trailer....I just laid down Jake The Golden Retriever last week after a 12 yr relationship and am still grieving.

Still on it, 10 day road trip. Been good sun valley, Jackson hole, Dubois, Yellowstone, Sundance, devils tower, wind river, grand tetons, Hemingways grave, and in deadwood now. I grew up her until 10. Funny thing, asked about my best friend then to first bartender, my friend is the mayor. Back thru Montana on way home.

Dog is doing fine didnt want to imply hes dying right now just winding down on us.
